If I’m going to sum up NYFW in one word: BREATHLESS! Well, it literally takes my breath away. Each year is getting better and crazier. Every little detail is picture perfect and you can tell everyone has been working their ass off to make sure everything goes according to the plan. Even for me as an attendant I need my glass of wine to stay hydrated. The atmosphere is insane. When I took my first step into the first event I could feel the excitement and joy, and I still wish it never ended. So many talented people in one room. It is such a magical experience.
ZEN FASHION is your eyes to inaccessible fashion experiences. It’s my job to deliver luxury lifestyle and first hand experience of the fashion world. NYFW is the highlight of the year because you get to see the true beauty of fashion. It’s a non-stop week filled with lots of new impressions and amazing people. This week makes me remember why I love fashion so much.
This fashion week got the most memorable fashion shows in the history! I can’t get over how blow away I was when Rihanna with FENTY x Puma started. The show started with motorcyclists doing stunts over mountains of pink sand. It was beyond amazing to watch. I was not shocked by the fact that Rihanna would be doing great, but this was way better than I ever expected. The show was held at the Park Avenue Armory in Manhattan, where ceilings were luckily high enough to allow for the gravity-defying stunts. I wish I captured some footage of it but I was just so speechless over their performance so my phone was the last thing I would think of (try to beat that, lol!). I would also like to highlight Tom Ford’s runway show which was as quoted ”fucking fabulous”. With my invitation I revived a bottle of his latest fragrance, Fucking Fabulous and I have to admit that I have a real obsession with it. When the show started I got the feeling that he was recapturing his signature ’90s glam. I loved the the hip-flashing maillots he paired with low-slung pants. It was so sexy to watch the model kill it on the runway with all that sparkle. Oh, and did I mention the most remarkable NYFW closing? I’d love to give the honor to Marc Jacobs for an outstanding show. Marc Jacobs staged a breathtaking collection of color, prints, and bright turbans topping off every look. Bringing back maximalism, the vacation-inspired collection hit the runway in complete silence at the Park Avenue Armory. It was so amazing to watch the young talented model Kaia as she made a grand finale closing the Marc Jacobs show.
Wow, NYFW spring 2018 was totally fabulous. I can not wait to see the next collection in February.
